"Michael Jackson" Landlord to evict late pop legend's nephews and niece from home

Jermaine and Alejandra Jackson's kids,Jafaar, Jermajesty, Dante, Randy andGenevieve Jackson might be rendered homeless if the landlord of their home gets his way in the court.

In a report by TMZ, Michael Jackson's niece and 4 nephews may be out on the streets, because they're about to be evicted from their home as the landlord says the pop legend's sister-in-law, Alejandra has a rent debt to the tune of $124,000.

The report further revealed that Alejandro's landlord has filed legal docs to evict the pop legend's sister-in-law and her five children from the home for failing to pay their rent in the last eight months.

Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Man, wife, 8 others die in fatal auto crash

 A pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), his wife and eight other members of the church have died in a fatal auto crash that occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to Ondo town.

The victims, a Zonal Pastor in Ondo Province 2, Dominic Folorunso Akinseye, 52; his wife, Beatrice; and Pastor Festus Akinsoyinu Fadakinte, were staff of the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo while the seven other passengers in the bus were members of the church.

They were returning from the monthly camp meeting of the Church.

Report says seven of them died on the spot while four others were rushed to the Trauma Centre in Ondo town but three others later died.

Other members of the church, who were also returning to their states after the programme were said to have made efforts to free the crushed bodies of the victims from under the stationary vehicle their bus reportedly rammed into in Kajola village near Ore.

The Akinseyes have been buried in their residence located at No 3 Adebusoye Street, Ayeyemi, Ondo.

MC Galaxy 'I charge N3.5m for shows,' singer discloses

Popular Nigerian singer, MC Galaxy has revealed that he charges as much as N3.5m for corporate events.

In a recent chat with The Punch, the singer disclosed that his charges differ in personalities and clients as he won't charge students the same way he would charge government bodies or agencies.

'It depends because you cannot charge a student the same way you will charge a politician. Presently, I accept N3.5m from corporate organisations... And my album, Breakthrough tells the story of how I used to be paid N2000 to perform at comedy clubs and now, I collect big money.

Though the comedian cum singer says he's not willing to have a babymama or baby outside wedlock like many of his colleagues, he says he enjoys the company of ladies, thus, he loves hanging out with the female folks.

Journalist attacked in Nassarawa state " So despicable"

Thugs suspected to be loyal to the ruling party, APC, in Nasarawa State on Friday beat a Daily Trust correspondent in the state, Mr. Hir Joseph to unconsciousness during Governor Tanko Al-Makura’s inauguration in Lafia, the state capital.

It is believed that the thugs were angry over reports and criticisms on President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Al-Makura recently, Saturday Punch reports.

The thugs also accused Joseph of writing unwanted reports in the state.

The incident occurred at 11.30 am, shortly after the governor and his deputy, Mr. Salias Agara, took their oaths of office at the Lafia parade ground. Saturday PUNCH correspondent who was at the scene of the event noted that security operatives were able to rescue Joseph after throwing teargas canisters at the miscreants and chasing them away. Joseph was later rushed to Dalhatu Specialist Hospital, Lafia for medical treatment.

Narrating his ordeal to our correspondent, Joseph said:

 “I was watching the inauguration with some colleagues when the thugs who had the inscription ‘Ta’Al Boys’ on their T-shirts demanded that I follow them. I asked why they wanted me to follow them but they gave no answer. Rather, they pounced on me and dragging me at the same time. I only woke up in the hospital after.”

"Beau Biden" U.S Vice President's son dies of brain cancer

Former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, son of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, died on Saturday after battling brain cancer, the vice president said. He was 46.

"The entire Biden family is saddened beyond words," Vice President Biden said in a statement released by the White House.

"We know that Beau's spirit will live on in all of us, especially through his brave wife, Hallie, and two remarkable children, Natalie and Hunter," he said.

Beau Biden had announced last year he planned to run for governor of Delaware in 2016.

He was diagnosed with brain cancer in August 2013 and underwent surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. After getting a "a clean bill of health" in November of that year, his cancer recurred in the spring of 2015, the vice president's office said.

He sought aggressive treatment and had been hospitalized this month at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center outside Washington. His family was with him when he died.

"Beau embodied my father's saying that a parent knows success when his child turns out better than he did," the vice president said. "In the words of the Biden family: Beau Biden was, quite simply, the finest man any of us have ever known."

Beau Biden was very close to his father and a familiar presence in his political campaigns.

After eight years as attorney general in Delaware, Beau Biden joined the investor law firm Grant & Eisenhofer in 2015.

He served a year-long tour in Iraq as a member of the Delaware Army National Guard. He suffered a mild stroke in 2010.

President Barack Obama said he and his wife, first lady Michelle Obama, were grieving. He paid warm tribute to Beau Biden, saying he took after his father.

"He studied the law, like his dad, even choosing the same law school. He chased a life of public service, like his dad, serving in Iraq and as Delaware's Attorney General," Obama said in a statement.

"Like his dad, Beau was a good, big-hearted, devoutly Catholic and deeply faithful man, who made a difference in the lives of all he touched, and he lives on in their hearts."

The vice president has not publicly ruled out a run for president in 2016, but he would face tough odds to gain an advantage over his friend, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is far ahead in public opinion polls in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Clinton expressed condolences over Twitter on Saturday.

"My heart is broken for the family of Beau Biden - a wonderful man who served his country with devotion and lived his life with courage," she wrote.

The vice president has faced family tragedy before.

Shortly after winning election to the U.S. Senate in 1972, his wife Neilia and three children were in a car crash. Neilia and their daughter were killed, while their two sons, Beau and Hunter, were injured.

Biden opted not to move to Washington, choosing instead to make the 2 1/2-hour daily round-trip train commute from Delaware to his Senate job so he could spend more time with his sons. He married Jill Jacobs some five years after his first wife died.

Biden took office as vice president when Obama entered the White House in January 2009. He has a deep knowledge of Washington politics after decades in Congress and a folksy, avuncular style that contrasts with what many consider Obama's more aloof manner.

Biden regularly mentions his family in speeches and sometimes has his grandchildren accompany him on diplomatic trips abroad.

Nigerian Jailed For 130 Years In Ghana Begs Buhari For Help, Says 100 Nigerians Prisoners Have Died In 2015

   name is Emmanuel Emeka, a prisoner in Ankaful maximum security prison, Cape Coast, Ghana. I’m serving a jail-term of 130yrs imprisonment and I’m presently in my 8th year. We appeal to the Nigerian government to please come to our aid. The condition here has been so unbearable for (we) Nigerian prisoners in Ghana. We need to reconnect with our families.

The Ghanaian police are fond of arresting innocent Nigerians, giving them high sentence of 50yrs 70yrs 100yrs 150yrs to 200yrs. Most of us have spent 8yrs 10yrs 15yrs 17yrs 20yrs inside prison and some have died inside the prison without completing their jail-term. Our families are in the dark, they really don’t know what we are facing. We’ve spent a lot of money trying to appeal in court, but all is to no avail. Within my 8years in prison, I have witnessed over 100 deaths of Nigerian citizen in the Ghana prison and most of their families are not even aware.

They still keep the hope of their return without knowing they are dead and buried with no rites. We appeal to the government of Nigeria to please act on our behalf so we won’t continue to perish in this peril. There are many Nigerians in all the 46 prisons in Ghana that need help from the Nigerian government. Also the media, kindly keep spreading the message until it finally grips the attention of the able government. To fellow citizens of Nigeria, our brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers, please continue to pray for us and do what you can to return us back home.

Another sad part is that most of us are on sick bed, no drugs for us. This is the unseen hardship Nigerian citizens in all the prisons in Ghana are facing and myself inclusive. I’ve been sick for the past 2 months and they have not taken me to the hospital or give me any drug. They treat us like animals, they give us dry garri everyday, no access to communication.

I know how I suffered to get this phone to send this message to you. Please, on this message, lies the survival of about 800 to 1000 Nigerian prisoners in the 46 prisons in Ghana who are in this type of high sentence.

Help us spread the message to all the four corners of Nigeria to make campaign for our freedom because that is the only hope left for us.

How My Boobs Have Helped My Acting Career- Bridget Amos

  Fast-rising Nollywood actress, Bridget Amos has opened up to Vanguard on her career in Nollywood. The busty actress also revealed that her boobs have helped her in her career. Read excerpts below

How has the journey in Nollywood been?

Stressful, I will say. For one, there is the issue of location logistics. At times they may lodge you in a hotel without adequate facilities. And because this is a profession you love, you have to manage whatever is thrown at you. Even feeding, at times on location, becomes a problem because adequate provisions are not made. It has not been easy, at all, but we have to stick to it because it is a profession we love.

What has been your biggest challenge so far?

You know Jide Kosoko? There was a time I was supposed to play a role alongside him but he brought someone else instead. He said he wanted the person to play the role in my place. I felt very bad. Along the line he changed his mind and asked me to take the role but I had been so heartbroken that I couldn’t pick myself up again. I eventually lost the role.

How do you get into character when you see scripts?

Since you love it and you enjoy doing it, it’s very easy. If you love acting, once you’re given a role it would be easy for you to act it out.

Who is your biggest inspiration in acting?

Ayo Adesanya

Can you do something sexy in a movie?
     Yes, I can be very sexy and very romantic.

Can you flaunt your boobs, stuff like that?

It’s part of acting so I can do it. I can play any role. Once you’re an actor, you should be able to play any role

Have your boobs ever helped you in getting a role?

Yes, they have. In one English movie, though the movie is not yet out, they wanted someone that has big boobs and can flaunt it, so they called me. I was called by Laitan Sugar and it was because of my boobs they called me for that job. I played the role of a bad character in the movie

What has been your most embarrassing moment so far?

There is an actress, I cannot recall the name now, who accused me of not showing respect by greeting. Funny enough, I greeted her but she chose to ignore, the greeting, coming back to embarrass me in the presence of others that I did not great her. That really got me down. She did not just say I didn’t greet her, she also asked me to go home because she was in charge. That was really embarrassing.

Has anyone ever told you to date him for a role?

Yes, but I tell them that I cannot use my body to get roles.

President Buhari said "I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody" President's inaugural speech

  Buhari salutes all!   I am immensely grateful to God Who Has preserved us to witness this day and this occasion. Today marks a triumph for Nigeria and an occasion to celebrate her freedom and cherish her democracy. Nigerians have shown their commitment to democracy and are determined to entrench its culture. Our journey has not been easy but thanks to the determination of our people and strong support from friends abroad we have today a truly democratically elected government in place.

  I would like to thank President Goodluck Jonathan for his display of statesmanship in setting a precedent for us that has now made our people proud to be Nigerians wherever they are. With the support and cooperation he has given to the transition process, he has made it possible for us to show the world that despite the perceived tension in the land we can be a united people capable of doing what is right for our nation. Together we co-operated to surprise the world that had come to expect only the worst from Nigeria. I hope this act of graciously accepting defeat by the outgoing President will become the standard of political conduct in the country.

I would like to thank the millions of our supporters who believed in us even when the cause seemed hopeless. I salute their resolve in waiting long hours in rain and hot sunshine to register and cast their votes and stay all night if necessary to protect and ensure their votes count and were counted.  I thank those who tirelessly carried the campaign on the social media. At the same time, I thank our other countrymen and women who did not vote for us but contributed to make our democratic culture truly competitive, strong and definitive.
