A 56-year-old French man Renaud Prudhomme, has surely had his last drink after he died after consuming more than 56 shots of alcohol in a drinking contestorganized in his local bar.
The bar man, Gilles Crepin has also been arrested, charged and convicted of manslaughter after serving Prudhomme the drinks until he slumped and died. He will spend four months in jail, by the way.
Crepin admitted in court that he had made a mistake by showing how many drinks the man had consumed on a bulletin board during the drinking game after Prudhomme broke the record for drinks consumed at the bar called Starter located in Clermont-Ferrand.
Paramedics were called after Prudhomme felt ill during the drinking spree and was taken to a hospital where he died the next day of alcohol poisoning.
